The 2026 Secretariat
The ILMUNC Dubai 2026 Secretariat is led by a dynamic team of undergraduates from the University of Pennsylvania, bringing world-class MUN experience to Dubai.
With a strong track record of organizing top-tier conferences, they have crafted challenging committees and ensured a seamless, high-quality delegate experience.
Driven by a passion for international relations and leadership, the Secretariat is committed to creating an inclusive, high-energy environment where every delegate can grow, compete, and thrive.
Brianna is a senior from Brooklyn, New York studying Cognitive Science, Computer Science, and Design. Outside ILMUNC, she is a tour guide for Penn. In her free time, she is either in the gym, exploring new food places, or on a random excursion. Brianna is so excited for ILMUNC’s first conference in Dubai and is looking forward to meeting everyone!
Ashti Tiwari is a senior from Upstate New York studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a minor in Data Science and Analytics. Outside ILMUNC, she is an active member of Perry World House and an opinion columnist for the Daily Pennsylvanian. In her free time, you can find Ashti exploring the food scene in Philadelphia or playing tennis. She is incredibly excited to be part of the first iteration of ILMUNC Dubai!
Betsmona Alemshowa is a sophomore studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with minor in Consumer Psychology. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Betsmona was involved in the Model UN circuit in her state for all four years of high school. Outside of ILMUNC, Betsmona is involved in Mask and Wig as a Business Associate, and is apart of Consult for America as an Associate Consultant. In her free time, you can find her listening to Frank Ocean an absurd amount, singing, or perhaps embarking on a random artistic side quest. She is incredibly elated to meet all the delegates at ILMUNC Dubai 2026!
Lily Williamson is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California, studying Political Science and Classics. Outside ILMUNC, she is involved in the PORES Program, focused on election studies and political research. In her free time, you can find Lily exploring Philadelphia's restaurants (she is an avid Beli user) or jogging across campus. She is incredibly excited to meet all the delegates for ILMUNC Dubai 2026!
Atharva Sarnobat is a sophomore from the Bay Area, California studying Artificial Intelligence and Physics. Outside ILMUNC, he is involved with Penn Intercollegiate MUN and Quantum Computing. In his free time, Atharva loves going to the gym, tasting new snacks, and reading fiction novels. He is extremely excited to visit the UAE and meet all the delegates for ILMUNC Dubai 2026!
Elizabeth Chinea is a sophomore from Miami, Florida studying Biology with a minor in data science and analytics.Other than ILMUNC she is involved with research at Penn, forming part of the Santiago-Frangos lab, and she is also involved with the Alternative Protein Project. She loves traveling and exploring new restaurants with her friends. She’s very excited for ILMUNC Dubai 2026 and to meet all of the delegates!!

The Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC) Dubai is a prestigious three-day international relations simulation for high school students, where future leaders from across the globe come together to debate, collaborate, and tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Organised by the students from UPenn, the conference will be held from October 2nd to 4th October, 2026, at Canadian University Dubai.
As an Assistant Director (AD), you’ll play a key role in shaping the committee experience. You’ll work closely with the Secretariat, helping manage committee logistics, ensure smooth parliamentary procedure, and support delegates throughout the conference. This role offers an incredible opportunity to deepen your Model UN expertise, step into a leadership role, and get a first-hand look at how an Ivy League-run conference operates.
The form is the official application to serve as an Assistant Director for ILMUNC Dubai. Please note that submission does not guarantee selection. Applicants will be notified of one of the following decisions:
- Accepted – offered a confirmed AD position
- Waitlisted – may be offered an AD position at a later stage
- Not Accepted – not selected for an AD role this year
Eligibility: Open to students in grades 11 & 12 and undergraduate college students.

Note:
- ADs must be fully available in-person at Canadian University Dubai from the morning of 2nd October to the evening of 4th October, 2026.
- The conference will cover meals for Assistant Directors. However, travel arrangements and associated expenses are to be managed independently by the Assistant Directors.

No, it is not mandatory for delegates to be accompanied by a guardian or advisor.
An advisor refers to a guardian or teacher accompanying a delegate or a school delegation. Having an advisor is optional.
Application timelines for the Organizing Committee will be announced soon.
Delegates are required to wear Western Business Attire (WBA) during conference hours.
This includes a suit jacket, formal trousers or skirt, formal shirt, and dress shoes. National Attire is also permitted.
Yes. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon successful completion of the conference.

ILMUNC Dubai 2026 is open to students from Class 8 to Class 12, from schools across Middle East.
ILMUNC Dubai 2026 will take place at Canadian University Dubai.
ILMUNC Dubai 2026 will be held from 2nd October to 4th October 2026.
ILMUNC Dubai follows the UNA–USA Model United Nations format.

Yes, individual delegate registrations are welcome.
The delegate fee includes:

- Preparation & Background Guides
- Access to all conference sessions, workshops, and social events
- Lunch and all-day refreshments during conference days
A 100% refund is available if the cancellation request is made at least 30 days prior to the conference start date. After this period, no refunds will be issued.
